Sum of forces.

Is there a way to get a sum of applied and resultant forces. I know REAC_NODA and FORC_NODA will do part of what I want. However, they each return the nodal forces. I just want the sum of them. basically I am applying a pressure and would like to make sure I'm applying the correct one.

But then of course you have to count the number of nodes and multiply by the 'MOYENNE' force.

Another alternative is to use a linux bash script on the text output file created by the POST_RELEVE_T (or any other) process:

cat output.txt | awk '{sum += $5} END {print sum}'

If the column of data you want to add up is the fifth one.

To calc the sum, for each component 'DX','DY','DZ':

Reac_Sum=POST_RELEVE_T(ACTION=_F(OPERATION='EXTRACTION',

                                 GROUP_NO='BOTTOM',
