Plastification zones under loaded circular plate

Hello,

I'm conducting a study on offshore gravity foundations and I'm at the very end of it. I've been wondering if code_aster has any feature regarding the visualization of plastification zones... I need to evaluate the deformations and plastifications under a loaded plate (6 meters thick) but so far I can't find any documents to address this.

The model considered on the is Druck Prager.

The results I get are the basic ones: displacements, tension and that's all.

Hello,

Have a look on internal variables.

The field is VARI_ELGA

The best for view in PARAVIS is VARI_ELGA_NOMME, you have three variables:

EPSEQ: cumulated plastic equivalent strains
EPSPVOL: volumic plasticity
INDPLAX: indicator of plasticity (0 if plastic, 1 otherwise)

Hi,

I tried your suggestion but I'm stalled on ParaVIS. It doesn't show those parameters you wrote nor in EFICAS I can get VARI_ELGA_NOMME.

If you can take a look at my .comm file I would be aprecciated.

Hello,

I think your comm file is ok. You just have to use the gauss point filter in ParaVis in Filters->Alphabetical. The ParaVis module default shows only NOEU results.

I tried the filter before and indeed it lets me select the VARI_ELGA paramater, but on the next box where I would get for the other parameters the magnitude and so on, this time I can't even select the box. That's my problem, unfortunately. Any suggestions?

Hello,

Only idea I have is if you choose right TS option in properties panel. I thing that VARI_ELGA_NOMME is in the another set of results. Like temperature in attached picture.

Maybe it will be good if you supply your mess file.

I ended up using DRUCK_PRAGER and got good results. However, I don't find any information about INDPLAX because I have values of 0, 1 and 2.
Is it 0 for not plastic, 1 for plastic and 2 for rupture?

The red zone corresponds to INDPLAS=2 on the edge of a circular footing.

Check the reference r7.01.16, chapter 2.4. and other informations in this document. But there is no information about V3=2 value. Maybe help you.

I can't get any conclusion on this. I knew beforehand that the values were maximum on 1.

Also, do you know how can I project Gauss Points on a surface? I need something more easy to read than all those points.

Unfortunately I don't know why the plasticity indicator achieve the value of 2. I have the same problem with another plasticity model.

The representation of ELGA fields is quite unforcomtable. But there is no know solution in paravis. See forum2/viewtopic.php?id=19773.
I really don't understand why in old post-pro module it was possible to show the surface but now it is possible to view only points. In my opinion the graphical representation of all fields is the same, the three coord and value of selected field in that point.

If you want to display a Gauss Point located fields as a surface field, there is a new feature in SALOME 8.3.0 embedded in Salome-Meca 2017 that enables that.
Just use the new "ELGA Field To Surface" filter and you'll be able to display your field with the "Surface" representation.
