Paraview ok on Windows, but fails on Linux

Hi,

Does anybody know why it is possible to visualize Aster results on Paraview for windows, but not on Paraview for Linux (same paraview version) ?

Note that Paraview for linux works with results from other solver (saturne for example).

It seems that paraview for Linux "assumes binary file" for MAIL.geo.

Thanks

Re: Paraview ok on Windows, but fails on Linux

I try to plot ensight files from aster :  file.case + MAIL.geo + RESU2.DEPL.0+010 for example
It strongly crashes on Linux, but it works normally on windows !

file.case contain for example:

FORMAT
type: ensight
GEOMETRY
model: 1 MAIL.geo
VARIABLE
vector per node: 1 depl                 RESU2.DEPL.0+***

TIME
time set:              1
number of steps:       1
filename start number: 10
filename increment:    1
time values:    0

Just an info to make you impatient : Salomé 6 will include a Paraview module (named ParaViz), probably available in SaloméMéca 2011.2 (July 2011)...

Remember to introduce yourself there.

Do you know when Salome 6 is supposed to be released?

Hi AsterNoob

Were those files created on windows? I would check the line endings on any text files and convert them if necessary.

Todd.
