Shell to Shell and 3D to Shell...Is it possible doing it?

Hello to all forum,
I have two question about the capabilities of Aster to glue 3D elements with shell elements and Shell to shell elements.

Question 1 ( see figure SHELL 2 SOLID):

In this figure is represented the midsurface of a shell element and a 3d part that will be mesh with 3d elements.
I wont know if there are some LIAISON to glue the two part considering also the thickness of the shell (something similar to LIAISON COQUE).
If I introduce something like LIAISON_GROUP I don't take account of the thikness (probably with a rigth law in liaison group I can do it but I'm not sure...) and I glue the external face of 3D mesh with shell midsurface and I don't think that LIAISON_GROUP is able to block the rotation because the two mesh are incompatible about the rotation (shell node 6 d.o.f and 3d node 3 d.o.f).

Question 2 ( see figure SHELL 2 SHELL)

In this case I want glue the border of the two shell element.
Now the mesh are compatibles but I wont know if there are some LIAISON that also in this case take in acount the thikness of the shell and glue the external face of the shell instead of the meshed midsurface.
If is not possible to doing it probably is better mesh in other way.

Regards
Jacopo

I am not a specialist in shell but the key word 'EXCENTREMENT' in AFFE_CARA_ELEM may help you. Have a look to ssls122.

Hello Jacopo, I am trying the same as you. Did you solve the problem in relation shell to shell? I tried a lot of liaison functions but didnt solve.

Thank you
