EXIT_CODE=4 with error : no such file or directory

Hello everyone,

I'm trying to run a simulation with Salome. I imported my step, meshed it, created the model, created and assigned the material, the load and the BCs, set up the analysis, the post processing and the output. BUt when it comes to running the simulation, I en up with an Abnormal Abort and a warning :

Command <A>_COPYFILE no such file or directory: fort.2

The export file specifies that the file with logical unit 2 is the .rmed file, ie my result file.

I enclose the .mess, the .export and the .comm file.

Thanks,

Dawindz

Re: EXIT_CODE=4 with error : no such file or directory

hello

in the .comm file you ask to read the meh on Logical Unit 20
and in the export file you have

F libr _ExportedFromSalomeObject_0_1_2_3.med D  20

replace the libr by mmed and it will work much better

and in the export file you have
F libr arrier_res.rmed R  2
replace the libr by rmed
then you should have in the .comm file

IMPR_RESU(
	FORMAT='MED',
        UNITE=2,
	RESU=_F(RESULTAT=reslin),
);

Re: EXIT_CODE=4 with error : no such file or directory

Thank you very much Jean Pierre for your help.

I have edited the files and relaunched the analysis through Salome but the files are re-edited by Salome and it comes back as it was before ! It may come from a setting in Salome...
To relaunch my analysis I deleted the RunCase in the history view and ran a new one.

Any idea ?

I tried to enclose my .hdf file but it seems to big to be uploaded hmm

Re: EXIT_CODE=4 with error : no such file or directory

i do not know the settings of salome or more likely of AsterStudy
what i suggest works in code_aster stand alone

Re: EXIT_CODE=4 with error : no such file or directory

I have tried to launch it through code aster stand alone by executing the export file with as_run.bat, after modifying the files as you told me to do.
I still have an abnormal abort with unexisting file fort.2...

EDIT : I have recreated the entire simulation to see if anything changed. I still end up with the same issue of the fort.2 file that doesn't exist.

Re: EXIT_CODE=4 with error : no such file or directory

post your export file for aster stand alone
why not using astk?
it is so much easier

Re: EXIT_CODE=4 with error : no such file or directory

it looks ok!
there is a mistake somewhere
maybe post mesh and comm file

Re: EXIT_CODE=4 with error : no such file or directory

here is the command file

EDIT : unfortunately the mesh file is too big to be uploaded, even in compressed format hmm

Re: EXIT_CODE=4 with error : no such file or directory

infortunately without being able to reproduce the whole problem i cannot say more

the only thing i can say is that a mistake in file assignment in the export file concerning file to be written after the analysis should not end end up with an error, only with a warning
at least on my linux installation

more over the message included in the previous post is truncated which does not tell any good

Re: EXIT_CODE=4 with error : no such file or directory

Hello,

There is no official code_aster for Windows

Maybe, try to check some frequently problems on Windows version:

Re: EXIT_CODE=4 with error : no such file or directory

Thank you both for your time.

@AsterO'dactyle :
I have checked the website but there seems to be no answer to my problem. Yet, thankjs for telling me there was no official release of code_aster for windows, I thought it was an official one.

@jeanpierreaubry :
I think the issue comes from the mesh file. I have tried opening it with GMSH and GMSH did crash wbefore being able to display it. The file is about 50Mo...
I have generated it through SalomeMeca with NETGEN 1D-2D-3D algorithm. I will try to generate another mesh with GMSH.

Re: EXIT_CODE=4 with error : no such file or directory

Hi all,

I could finally compute an analysis for a different part. I then came back to the first one and changed the settings of the mesh algorithm. The mesh is now done much faster and takes a reasonable space (851 ko instead of 50Mo). I therefore enclose here all the necessary files for the simulation to be reproduced.
I had an error regarding orphan nodes that I could solve, but I still come up with the error of fort.80 that doesn't exist. It happens both on Salome Meca and when using as_run.bat

Hope you can find a way to solve it, thanks for your help !

Dawindz

Re: EXIT_CODE=4 with error : no such file or directory

with code_aster 14.2 stand alone Linux version
the problem runs smoothly
the result is a little bit crazy displacement 6.73 while the dimension of the object is the order of 0.5
if the modulus is for aluminium at 70000 this implies that the size of the object is in mm and the load in Newton,
0.5 mm for the size  and a load of 50000 N/mm2 ???????????????
it may be a good idea to print an ASCII file for the result at first and check the reaction

Re: EXIT_CODE=4 with error : no such file or directory

uh, there is indeed an issue with the dimensions. I'll check that and come back to you, thanks for noticing me !
