Strange behaviour of asterstudy module

Hi evereybody,

I have just installed the last version of Salome-Meca (2019.0.3.1) on a fresh install of Manjaro linux (Gnome desktop) on a quite old Dell Latitude 3330. For testing purposes, I open Salome-Meca, create a geometry and a mesh and finally open  the asterstudy module. As you can on the screenshot attached to this message, I don't have acces to the whole window, since the current window is too long and can't be resized... So, it is impossible to make a calculation.

I don't know if it is related to a dependency that is not satisfied (I have the same problem on ubuntu-based and arch-based distribution installed on this laptop), or is it a bug of the asterstudy module. What bothers me is that I didn't observe this behavior on my desktop computer.

If you have any idea to help me to find a solution, I'll take it.

Thank you.

Best regards.

Re: Strange behaviour of asterstudy module

Looks to me like a low-resolution problem with your laptop: not enough pixels vertically to fit the main window.

You could try to hide the 2 rows of toolbars (through the View menu) in order to gain some vertical space or enter full screen mode (F8 or F11 if I remember well).

Good luck!
