Modelling of water (quasi incompressible) using modelisation FLUIDE

Hello everyone,

I have a question regarding the modelling of water using the FLUIDE modelisation. From the documentation I gather that this is used to model compressible fluids. As water is usually idealized as in-compressible I was wondering if I can use FLUIDE to correctly model water. For reference, I am using the parameters CELE_R=1500.0 and RHO=1000.0 (units are kg and meter).

Hello,

You can use 'FLUIDE" for compressible fluids, juste change CELE_R (speed of sound in fluid).

Ah perfect thank you very much. I've thought about it more in the mean time and of course the modelisation takes into account compressibility, otherwise we'd have a bulk modulus and therefore speed of sound of infinity.
